Rowing is an energetic act where rowers have to move a boat down a straight across 2000 m course using oars. Rowers have their back to the direction of the movement and unlike canoeing, they do not look where they are going. There are two events Sculling and Sweep in Rowing competition. And the two events are different from each other based on the technique and skill of the rower.
In Sculling rowers have to hold two oars one in each hand, while in sweeping with both hands, the oars are held together.
